Transportation

Rome has an extensive bus and metro system and once you’ve figured out how to read the maps, it is fairly easy to use. Buses are easily accessible from the city center, and the metro has two lines – A and B – and the Barberini stop on Linea A is less than a ten minutes’ walk from the Pantheon Institute. We recommend that students budget approximately $40 a month for unlimited travel on the bus and metro.

Two airports, Fiumicino and Ciampino, are easily reachable by bus or metro. Students can use these airports as the launch pad for all their traveling adventures, flying to different destinations throughout the European continent and beyond.

In the historic city center where the Pantheon Institute is located, it’s easy to reach all the main sights on foot. And there’s no better way to wander through the city than “a piedi”, stopping to look at the spectacular sites and sip cool fresh water from one of Rome’s myriad fountains.
