Independent Research Course

This optional course provides students with the resources and support to complete a significant research assignment in a topic of their choice, often generating material for a final portfolio or senior thesis at their home institution. Students are paired with an expert in their chosen field – a Pantheon Institute faculty member, an adviser from home, or one of Rome’s distinguished scholars – as they create a personalized path of study. The course culminates in a research paper or presentation showcasing their work over the semester.
